Replacement of approximately 460 SY of concrete sidewalk and 115 SY of colored and stamped concrete on Main (Union) Street in the Village of Spencerport. The project also includes replacement and/or resetting approximately 240 LF of granite curb. The Village of Spencerport will furnish and deliver all subbase material for placement by the contractor. The Village will also provide all trucking for disposal of excavated spoil material. An Add Alternate is included to furnish and install permeable tree surrounds in the new sidewalk areas.

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Main Street Sidewalk and Curb Improvements (Phase 1) will be received by Village of Spencerport, at the office of the Village of Spencerport, 27 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559, until 2:00 PM local time on April 30, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. Please make non-refundable checks payable to Avalon.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.

Bidding Documents also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Village of Spencerport, 27 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Village of Spencerport, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

The Village of Spencerport, Monroe County, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.
Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
