In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the 2020 Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation will be received by the Town of Farmington, at the office of the Town of Farmington, 1000 County Road 8, Farmington, NY 14425, until 2:00 PM local time on April 17, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project consists of furnishing labor, materials, and equipment for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes within the Farmington sanitary sewer collection system located in the Towns of Farmington and Victor. The rehabilitation of the selected manholes includes manhole preparation, chemical grouting of active leaks, plugging and patching voids, and application of a protective lining system.
Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

Drawings can be picked up at any of Avalon Document Services’ locations.

1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an Electric Download of the Bidding Documents.
2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.

Bidding Documents also may be examined, by appointment only, at the Town of Farmington, 1000 County Road 8, Farmington, NY 14425, Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Town of Farmington, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
The Town of Farmington, Ontario County, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.
Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.

The Town of Farmington does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.
