The building is a pre-engineered metal building (approximately 11,424 SF) and will include: insulated metal roof and wall panels, concrete masonry block walls, insulated overhead garage doors, concrete isolated spread footers and foundation walls. The building will consist of garage and administrative areas. The garage areas include vehicle parking bays, workroom and storage mezzanines. The administrative space includes an office, breakroom, and restrooms. Site improvements will include grading around the building, sub-surface utilities and structures. The project will have four (4) prime contracts. General Construction will include site, architectural and structural scope of work. Other primes include Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical (HVAC) Construction.

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Nunda Highway Garage will be received by the Town of Nunda, at the office of the Town of Nunda, 4 Massachusetts Street, Nunda, New York 14517, until 2:00 PM local time on June 4, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Work is generally described as: Construction of a new Municipal Highway Garage. Separate sealed Bids will be received for:
Contract No. 1 – Contract #1: General;
Contract No. 2 – Contract #2: Plumbing;
Contract No. 3 – Contract #3: HVAC; and
Contract No. 4 – Contract #4: Electrical.

Bids shall be on a lump sum basis with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Drawings can be picked up at any of Avalon Document Services’ locations.

1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an Electric Download of the Bidding Documents.
2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.

Bidding Documents also may be examined online through internet based construction information subscription services.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the Town of Nunda, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
The Town of Nunda, Livingston County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.
Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on May 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM local time at 4 Massachusetts Street, Nunda New York. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for further information.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
