In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Water System Improvements will be received by Town of Rose, at the office of the Town of Rose, 5074 N. Main Street, North Rose, NY 14516, until 10:00 AM local time on June 17, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The project improvements include replacement of approximately 23,700 LF of old watermain of various sizes with new 8” and 12” diameter PVC pipe along NYS Route 414, Catchpole Road, and Wolcott Road in the Town of Rose, Wayne County, NY. Work will include layout, trenching, excavating, and drilling of new watermain; replacement of hydrants, valves, meter boxes, and services; connection to existing side street watermains; and restoration of pavement, curbing, driveways, sidewalks, and turf areas. The project also includes furnishing and installing a new electric potable mixing system in both existing 400,0000 gallon water storage tanks.
Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered through the Issuing Office website at: www.avalonroch-planroom.com/ in the “Public Jobs” section. Drawings can be picked up at any of Avalon Document Services’ locations.
1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an Electric Download of the Bidding Documents.
2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.
The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Town of Rose, 5074 N. Main Street, North Rose, NY 14516, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Town of Rose, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
The Town of Rose, Wayne County, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.
Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
The Town of Rose does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.
